In the USA the power plugs and sockets are of type A and B. The standard voltage is 120 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz. If you are traveling from outside North or Central America, you will need a power adapter.
The Worldwide Partners meetings are comfortable, business casual. Austin should be comfortable, but there will be a chance of rain, so please pack accordingly. The use of air conditioning is prevalent, thus meeting rooms can be chilly.
Our dinner on Monday night will be cocktail attire. We will walk to the venue, so please do take this in consideration concerning shoe choice.
We will be staying at the ZaZa, a brand new hotel in downtown Austin. The meeting will take place here on Sunday and Monday. WPI has a group room block at the hotel. You can reserve your room during the registration process. More details on the hotel can be found under the hotel tab.
Our WPI Global Meetings are a wonderful opportunity to engage with partners from across the globe who share the same passion for marketing communications that you do! We are an open group, that likes to converse, share stories, discuss agency issues, collaborate about potential joint business/shared resources, etc., and have a good time. We are at the meeting to learn, but also to network, meet new people, and see long-time friends. It is a laid-back, casual atmosphere that isn’t intimidating. We invite you to come as you are, have fun and learn a lot.
The WPI Team can help you to meet anyone in particular, arrange any business meetings with your fellow partners, and/or answer any questions about the network, etc. In short, you are among friends.
Once you have registered for the meeting, you are responsible for the per person fee, even if you need to cancel. You can transfer the registration to someone else in your agency. If you cancel 30 days prior to the meeting, you may be responsible for hotel charges. We do our best to mitigate those charges whenever possible.
