OCTOBER 10-12, 2023

Advertising drives culture. It is the force behind the values and attitudes of every country, city and community around the world, and has the power to influence society for years or even millennia to come. Understanding this power and leveraging it to create connections and commerce is what sets good agencies and brands apart.

Symposia ’23 will explore this potential through intellectual discussions on the art, philosophy, technology and science of advertising in Athens, Greece, a location known for its history in these cultural pursuits.

Due to hotel availability, our schedule format is slightly different for this summit.  We will host our break outs and opening reception on Tuesday, October 10th, followed by two full day meetings on Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday, October 12th.

We have secured rooms at the Elektra Metropolis and Elektra Palace both located in the heart of Plaka the old historical neighborhood at the foothills of the Acropolis.

This historic neighborhood is full of landmarks worth seeing that make Plaka itself seem like an open-air museum. Among them, you will discover the Monument of Lysicrates, the 11th century Church of Saint Nicholas Rangavas, the Museum of Greek Folk Art, Benizelou Mansion and Canellopoulos Museum, as well as other Byzantine churches and museums.

Within a short walking distance from Plaka, you will find more important historic sights, such as the Roman Forum, the Tower of the Winds, the Acropolis, the Theater of Dionysus and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.

October is the beginning of Autumn in Greece, but the weather is still hot & sunny, with cooler evenings.

There are many Greek islands that are a short ferry or hydrofoil trip from Athens, if you're unable to take an extended vacation here are a few recommendations for day trips or a weekend.

Keep a look out for registration and agenda announcements in the coming weeks.  In the meantime if you have any questions about the fall Global Summit, please email me at
