The FAQs

Frequently asked questions about registering for and attending TRANSFORM Global Summit, and exploring Austin.

What will the weather be like?

In early May, Austin typically has warm, sunny spring weather. Expect daytime highs in the mid-80s°F (around 29–31°C) and mild evenings in the upper 60s°F (18–22°C). May can also bring occasional rain showers or thunderstorms, so we recommend dressing in light layers and keeping an umbrella handy—just in case.

Do I need a power adapter?

The US uses Type A and Type B plugs. Type A has two plat panels, Type B has two flat pannels and a grounding pin. The US uses 110-120 volts AC at 60 Hz.

What should I wear?

The meeting is business casual. None of our meeting or social venues have a dress code, however, the final night Awards Ceremony is a special event and we encourage you to get a little fancy. The weather should be warm during the day, and slightly cooler in the evenings with relatively high humidity. There's always the potential for an unseasonably cold or warm day.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located about 15–20 minutes from downtown Austin, depending on traffic.

Transportation options include:

  • Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Convenient and widely available from the airport.

  • Taxi: Available at designated taxi stands outside baggage claim.

  • Rental Car: All major rental car companies operate onsite at AUS.

  • Hotel Shuttle: Some hotels offer complimentary airport shuttles—please check directly with your hotel to confirm availability and schedule.

We recommend checking traffic conditions if arriving during peak hours.

This is my first meeting, what should I expect?

Our WPI Global Meetings are a wonderful opportunity to engage with partners from across the globe.

We are an open group, that likes to converse, share stories, discuss agency issues, collaborate about potential joint business/shared resources, etc., and have a good time.

We are at the meeting to learn, but also to network, meet new people, and see long-time friends. It is a laid-back, casual atmosphere that isn’t intimidating. We invite you to come as you are, have fun and learn!

A meeting book with the complete attendee list, contact information and agency background will be sent prior to the meeting.  Use this book as a guide to determine the meetings and conversations you would like to have during the meeting.

The WPI Team can help you to meet anyone in particular, arrange any business meetings with your fellow partners, and/or answer any questions about the network, etc.

TL;DR: You are among friends!

Do I need a Visa?

Please check whether you require a visa for the US and let Eve Riley know asap if you require any supporting documentation for the process.
